Crime Numbers Paint Too Broad a Picture
As a Neighborhood Watch person, I was very interested in your statistics on crime in the Valley (Dec. 14). But it was absolutely useless. Why? Your story listed a number of separate cities: Burbank, Glendale and so on. The remainder of the Valley was all lumped into Los Angeles.
What are the crime rates in Chatsworth, Woodland Hills, Reseda and more than a dozen other cities/towns in the Valley? Example: Los Angeles shows more than 50,000 burglaries. I am sure they were not all in Chatsworth.
