Four-Star Films : ‘Hannah and Her Sisters’

Share

Mellow and brimming with love, this 1986 gem is one of Woody Allen’s very best. Here the filmmaker is revealing more understanding of the foibles of others and being less edgy about his own. The 1986 is set deep in the lives of a vibrant New York family who we follow from Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving over a two-year period. At its heart are three sisters: the sustaining Mia Farrow, the stunning Barbara Hershey and the skittish Dianne Wiest (from left) (KCOP Tuesday at 4 a.m.).
