Dodgers Would Set Prices Back to ’58

Share

The Dodgers can’t promise old-fashioned baseball, but they vowed to charge 1958 ticket prices Wednesday if they are forced to open the season with replacement players.

The Dodgers, whose inaugural season in Los Angeles was 1958, will retain those prices until an agreement is reached or most major league players return.

The prices: $3.50 for box seats, $2.50 for reserved seats, $1.50 for pavilion seats and 75 cents for children the day of games. Prices normally range from $13 to $6 for adults.

The Dodgers, clearly dealing as much in public relations as a gesture to the fans, were actually rolling prices back to 1975 levels. Their prices remained the same from ’58 to then, although they did add a more expensive club level of tickets in 1962.
