Martin Luther King Jr. Day Schedule

A celebration to honor Martin Luther King Jr. will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Antelope Valley Community Arts Center, 38344 10th St. East, Palmdale. The 7th Annual Interfaith Valley Celebration Service to honor Martin Luther King Jr. will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Mary Immaculate Church, 10390 Remick St., Pacoima. A two-part seminar on the practical application of creative nonviolence will begin Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of North Hollywood, 5000 Colfax Ave., with the second session on Feb. 11. Both will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The seminar is sponsored by the Valley Interfaith Council in cooperation with the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolence.
