IBM Recalls 32,000 Laptop Adapters: The AC adapters for Thinkpad laptop computer are being recalled because they could pose an electrical shock hazard, the computer maker said. The Thinkpad computer itself is not involved, and IBM said it has had no reports of injury caused by the adapters. The adapters were included with Thinkpad models 360CS, 755C, 755CE and 755CD. Only adapters marked with the model number AA19210 and sold after Oct. 1, 1994, have the internal fault, IBM and the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. Owners who have questions should call IBM at (800) 238-1967. Replacement parts will be shipped free.
