MISSION VIEJO : Courses on Court Interpreting Offered
Saddleback College Community Education is offering two new courses for those interested in becoming certified courtroom interpreters.
One course, Court Interpreting Orientation, will provide state examination requirements, interpreting techniques and suggested course work in preparation for an exam administered by the agency that oversees courtroom certification for the state. It will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, and March 11 and May 13.
The other course, Court Interpreting Diagnostic Exam Practice, is a three-hour written practice test followed by review and discussion. It will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, and March 11 and May 13.
Both courses require fluency in English and Spanish.
