Services Are Planned for Lee Savin, a Film Producer and Attorney

Services will take place Saturday for Lee Savin, a producer and entertainment industry attorney who died Jan. 20 at his Laguna Niguel home. He was 77.

Savin, a native of New York City, worked for DesiLu Productions, Paramount, Fox and Warner Bros. studios. He produced several independent films, including “Black Girl,” “Executive Action,” “Brothers,” and “Blue Bird.”

Savin was an active member of the Producers’ Guild and Academy of Motion Pictures at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Hines; a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren.

A public service is planned at 11 a.m. at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, in Newport Beach. A private service will also take place at the Westwood Mortuary in West Los Angeles.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lee Savin Memorial Pet Fund, P.O. Box 756, Dana Point, CA 92629, or the National Brain Tumor Foundation, 785 Market St., Suite 1600, San Francisco, CA 94103.
