Agency Needs Common Sense

The state Fish and Game Department continues to prevent clearing of the “islands in our rivers”’ to protect wildlife (“Aid Sought for Crop Damage,” Jan. 28). The rivers need a way to the sea, so they take the farmers’ lands when their path is obstructed.
We will have wildlife, but Fish and Game will become an endangered species for their taxpaying benefactors will be gone.
How about some compromise and common sense?
