Green Foods, Y.H. Products Donate to Kobe Workers
Compiled by Jack Searles
Employees of Green Foods Corp. and Y.H. Products Corp., both based in Oxnard, contributed $2,000 to workers at their parent company in Japan whose homes were destroyed in the Kobe earthquake.
Officials at the parent, Japan Pharmaceutical Development Co., estimated that 5% of the firm’s employees lost homes in the quake.
About 60 workers at the Oxnard concerns took part in the money-raising drive. The companies produce food supplements made from powdered carrot and barley juices.
