A 70-year-old man died Monday of injuries sustained in a traffic collision at Brookhurst Street and Garden Grove Boulevard, police said.
Tae Yong Cha of Garden Grove was fatally injured just after noon when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle, driven by a 45-year-old Oceanside man, according to Sgt. Scott Watson.
Cha was taken to UCI Medical Center, where he died of internal injuries.
Witnesses told police that Cha was driving eastbound on Garden Grove Boulevard, on a green light, when he was struck by the other driver, who was traveling southbound on Brookhurst Street. The second driver was not injured.
