Alaska Airlines Will End Russia Flights: The operating unit of Seattle-based Alaska Air Group Inc. said it will cancel service to its three eastern Russia destinations in April because of a labor dispute with pilots. The airline began service to Vladivostok, Magadan and Khabarovsk in 1991 amid much fanfare about the development of U.S.-Russian ties. Pilots flying the unprofitable routes are seeking more days off, while the airline is trying to get them to commit to flight schedules drawn up further in advance. The two sides also disagree over whether resting pilots should fly in first-class or economy seats.
