Saddleback College radio station KSBR-FM (88.5) will continue its “Passing It On: Voices From Black America’s Past” series Thursdays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 p.m. through Feb. 25 in observation of Black History Month. Remaining programs include, “The Negro Leagues” (this Thursday and Saturday), looking at the unsung heroes of the black baseball leagues that proliferated during the days when African Americans were barred from major league play, and “Mound Bayou” (Feb. 23 and 25), about the Mississippi town founded in 1887 by freed slaves, that today is reported to be the largest all-black municipality in the country. The one-hour programs, sponsored by Philip Morris Companies, include archival recordings, music and interviews with African Americans who lived during these time periods. For more information, call (714) 582-5727.
