The Boston Bruins knew they could count on a low-scoring game against the Buffalo Sabres. The Bruins also knew they could count on Ray Bourque and Vincent Riendeau.

Bourque scored the winning goal with 1:52 to play and Riendeau stopped four good Buffalo scoring chances as the Bruins started an eight-game trip with a 2-1 victory Sunday at Buffalo.

New Jersey 4, Florida 2--Mike Peluso had the game-winning goal at Miami.

With the score tied, 2-2, Bobby Holik crossed a pass to Peluso, who tucked it past John Vanbiesbrouck at 12:50 of the third period.
