Owners to Discuss Rams’ Moving Plans

Ram owner Georgia Frontiere and NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue will speak to owners today at a meeting regarding the Rams’ move to St. Louis.

Frontiere will outline the reasons for the Rams’ deal, which was signed Jan. 17. Team officials have filed papers with the league of their intent to play in St. Louis next season.

Tagliabue also is expected to report to the owners regarding the deal, which includes the sale of 30% interest in the team to Missouri businessman Stan Kroenke.

Save the Rams co-chairman Leigh Steinberg said his group met with NFL officials after the Pro Bowl to submit their presentation to keep the Rams in Anaheim.

Steinberg said the group made a report to the league’s fact-finding committee.
