Bullfrogs Pick Forward Smyth of East Coast Hockey League

The Bullfrogs selected forward Brad Smyth on Friday with their first pick in the Roller Hockey International draft, the team announced in a news release.

Smyth, who plays for Birmingham (Ala.) of the East Coast Hockey League, was one of the Bullfrogs’ 13 players selected in the 10-round draft. The Bullfrogs chose forward B.J. MacPherson, from Toledo (Ohio) of the ECHL, with the second of their first-round picks.

The Bullfrogs open training camp May 22. They begin their third season June 3 at The Pond of Anaheim against Los Angeles.
