ASHVILLE, Pa. —
A tow truck pulling a garbage truck lost its brakes on a downhill road and collided with an oncoming car, sending all three vehicles crashing into a funeral home.
Saturday’s accident left a 15-foot-wide hole in a wall of the Gibbons Funeral Home, and the vehicles collapsed into the basement.
The car’s driver was killed. The funeral director’s son was hit by debris and was hospitalized in serious condition. The tow truck driver and his 10-year-old son, who was riding with him, were hospitalized in fair condition.
