Gunfire, Stabbing Wound 3 in Venice
A gunfire and stabbing incident at the crowded Venice boardwalk Sunday afternoon left three young men wounded and sparked a brief stampede.
Beach-goers and locals alike heard the 4:15 p.m. gunshot and commotion on Ocean Front Walk.
“By the time I got down there, the guy was (lying) on the ground, shot, against a building,” said Venice resident Vera Cuisinot. “There was another person sitting next to him.”
Paramedics took the three unidentified victims to the hospital, Cuisinot said. Two had been stabbed and the third shot in the shoulder.
Police arrested two suspects, said LAPD Officer Don Cox.
