GARDEN GROVE : City Council Alters Its Meeting Schedule
Beginning in May, the City Council will meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, instead of the first and third Tuesday.
Council members unanimously approved the change recently at the request of Councilman Tony Ingegneri, who serves as a liaison with other city councils in Orange County on behalf of the advertising company that he works for.
Ingegneri said his work requires him to attend council meetings of other cities, and 12 of Orange County cities hold their meetings on the first and third Tuesdays.
According to a council policy, the schedule may be changed upon the request of a council member who because of work and other justifiable reasons cannot attend regular meetings, he said.
Council meetings will still be at 7 p.m. at the council chambers of the Community Meeting Center at 11300 Stanford Ave. The first meeting under the new schedule will be May 9.
The regular meetings in April will be on April 4 and 18.
