Tom Clark; Hollywood Publicist, Associate of Rock Hudson

Tom Clark, 62, former Hollywood publicist who helped to market such films as “Doctor Zhivago” and “Ice Station Zebra.” A University of Oklahoma graduate who served in the Air Force, Clark worked for MGM and later Disney, where he was vice president of advertising and publicity. At Disney, he publicized the “Love Bug” series of films. A close friend of Rock Hudson, Clark served as associate producer for Hudson’s successful television series “McMillan and Wife.” He also co-wrote the book “Rock and Me” about his relationship with Hudson. Clark lived with the star from 1973 until 1983 and later returned to assist Hudson when the actor was dying of the complications of AIDS. On Sunday in Rancho Mirage of heart failure.
