NHL ROUNDUP : Flyers Waste Nothing, Win

Eric Lindros set up two goals as the streaking Flyers defeated the Boston Bruins, 3-2, Thursday night in Philadelphia.

The Flyers, 5-1-1 in seven games, struck quickly.

They used only 23 seconds combined for goals by John LeClair and Mikael Renberg on their first two power plays. Their third goal, by Kevin Dineen, came on only their fourth shot.

OTHER GAMES

Jimmy Carson broke a tie with a power-play goal early in the third period to give the Whalers a 2-1 victory over Quebec at Hartford. . . . Tomas Sandstrom scored twice in a three-goal second period to lead the Penguins to a 4-2 victory over the New York Islanders at Pittsburgh. . . . Brett Hull took the NHL scoring lead with goals 16 and 17 as the Blues were 5-1 winners over the Calgary Flames in St. Louis.
