LANCASTER — A neighborhood feud turned fatal Tuesday night when a Lancaster man shot and killed a 29-year-old neighbor he accused of being romantically involved with his wife, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Rudolph Randoll Campos, 40, was arrested at the scene.
The shooting occurred on the 1000 block of Avenue J6 in Lancaster. The two began arguing in Campos’ front yard shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday, deputies said. Campos then pulled a handgun and shot his alleged rival several times at close range, according to sheriff’s reports.
After the shooting, Campos went inside his house and awaited the arrival of authorities. He was arrested without incident, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The identity of the victim had not been released late Tuesday pending notification of his family.
