Saugus 8, El Toro 0--El Toro was pounded by the bats of Amanda Melton, who homered, Chris Gill, who tripled, and Jenny Rioner, who doubled in the third-place game.
San Clemente 6, Irvine 1--Heather Hollis had a two-run homer for San Clemente in the consolation final.
In the Golden West League:
Ocean View 1, Rosary 0 (8)--Lovieanne Chung hit a leadoff home run in the bottom of the eighth and pitcher Kathy Ponce struck out 15 for host Ocean View (3-0, 1-0). Pitcher Leslie Fulton allowed only three hits for Rosary (4-2, 0-1).
In other nonleague softball:
Buena Park 3, Santiago 0--Alicia Davison threw a three-hitter, striking out 13 and walking one and Brandi Tatman had a two-run double in the first for Buena Park (3-3-1).
Canyon 1, Valencia 0--Kim Snodgrass hurled a four-hitter for Canyon. Kristie Hiatt had an RBI single in the first inning for Canyon (3-3).
Los Alamitos 1, Savanna 0--Mandy Rockwell went the distance with eight strikeouts for host Los Alamitos (7-1), which scored the game’s only run when Sarah Nunley drove in Cyndi Tredway with a single in the bottom of the fourth. Tredway led off the inning with a double.
Orange 3, Sunny Hills 1--Stephanie Newhouse tripled in the second inning but Sunny Hills was unable to capitalize. Jennifer Deane went the distance for the Lancers (0-3), allowing only one hit, but the six errors gave Orange the game.
Pacifica 3, Kennedy 1--Amanda Freed hit a two-run double with one out in the top of the seventh inning to lead Pacifica (5-1).
