Net Income Up for Three D in Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA — Three D Departments Inc., an operator of retail bed and bath stores, reported net income of $345,765, or 14 cents a share for the second fiscal quarter ended Jan. 28, up from $121,645, or 4 cents a share, for last year’s second quarter. Sales for the quarter rose 18% to $14.8 million from $12.5 million. First-half profit increased 9% to $211,697, or 8 cents a share, from $193,597, or 7 cents a share. Sales rose 17% to $26.5 million from $22.7 million for last year first six months.
