THOUSAND OAKS : Reward Offered in Parking Lot Robbery

Ventura County Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000 for information about a robbery Tuesday in the parking lot of the K mart in Thousand Oaks. Witnesses say a man punched a Thousand Oaks woman in the stomach and grabbed her purse as she walked through the lot.
He and another man then ran away and got into a black 1991 Chevy Blazer with tinted windows and a luggage rack. A third man was driving the car, according to Crime Stoppers.
Witnesses tried to chase the car, but lost track of it near Westlake Boulevard and Village Glen.
The man suspected of hitting the woman is described as a 17-year-old African American with short black hair, 5 foot 7 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and wearing a black beanie. His accomplice is described as an 18-year-old Latino with brown hair and a crew cut, 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.
The man who was driving is described as an 18-year-old Latino with brown hair and a crew cut, 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. Crime Stoppers asks anyone with information related to the crime to call 494-TALK. Callers may remain anonymous.
