Company Town : ‘Aladdin’ Co-Producer Joins Warner Bros. Animation

Amy Pell, one of the co-producers of the hit Walt Disney animated film “Aladdin,” was named senior vice president, production for Warner Bros.’ new features animation division.

Pell most recently was a creative consultant to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. She reports to Bruce Berman, the studio’s president of worldwide production.

* Lawrence J. Kirk Jr. was named senior vice president of operations for The Samuel Goldwyn Co. Separately, Barbara Langdon was promoted to vice president for East Coast publicity.

* Independent producer Laurie Parker was named president of Tim Burton Productions. Others named to positions with the director’s production company were Mary Ann Marino, head of production, Michele Carnes, who oversees the low-budget division, and Effie Brown, director of development.

* Eric P. Ashenberg and Jeffrey L. Rocha have been named managing directors in Los Angeles for Global Entertainment Management, a business management firm.

* Dana Freedman was named senior vice president, media and corporate relations, for Twentieth Television and Twentieth Century Fox Television.

* Bruce Karpas was named chief executive of Liberty Productions, a new pay-per-view program company of Tele-Communications Inc.

* Hallmark Entertainment has named Glenn Ross senior vice president.

* Marian Davis is joining MTM Television as vice president of international programming and new media development.

* Lexine Wong has been promoted to vice president, international marketing and programming, for Columbia TriStar Home Video.
