ORANGE COUNTY IN BANKRUPTCY : Shape of the Settlement

The committee representing the 194 investors in the county’s failed investment pool has agreed to a settlement of the $5.7 billion that remains. Below are the amounts the county had in the investment fund at the time of the bankruptcy, the recovery notes and repayment claims the county has promised to repay investors, the money that had been distributed earlier this month, and the immediate cash payout upon final approval of the settlment.
