A 48-year-old man was fatally wounded Friday on the 1110 block of West Walnut Street, police said.
The man, who has not been identified, was shot once in the chest just before 8 p.m., according to Sgt. Dick Faust. Paramedics treated him at the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
