BONUS DAYS! If you’re one of those who just cannot get your tax returns ready by April 15, this is your year. Because today--the 15th--is a Saturday, you’ve got until midnight Monday to file your returns (B1). And that’s about the time many will get turned in. . . . “Californians love to procrastinate,” says Judith Golden, spokeswoman for the Internal Revenue Service’s Laguna Niguel regional office. “As of a week ago, we only had about 50% of the returns in.”. . . . Tax questions? Call 1-800-829-1040.

IT COULD BE THEM? The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. plans to swoop into town next week to report on . . . what else--the county’s bankruptcy. The CBC plans to focus on the tax issue and the layoffs. . . . But do Canadian radio listeners really care about O.C.? Says a producer, Lynne McIntyre: “Canadians are very interested. They see what happens in America as a harbinger of what might happen there.”

WWII REDUX: Eva Krutein’s 1989 memoirs chronicled her harrowing odyssey as a German war refugee. Now the retired Irvine music teacher’s story has caught the eye of ABC News, which is producing a 12-part documentary on the 20th Century. . . . Krutein is scheduled to be interviewed at her home today about her postwar efforts to reach the United States. Says producer Mike Plant: “We’re interviewing the famous and not-so-famous to give a complete portrait of life in America during that time.” . . . . No air date has been set.

SHAKESPEARE SUNRISE: If you want to attend an Easter sunrise service, you don’t need to go to church. In Fullerton, they’re worshiping at Cal State Fullerton’s stadium. In Garden Grove, there will be a service at the Shakespeare Amphitheatre. . . . In Cypress, Forest Lawn Memorial Park will hold its 35th consecutive sunrise service. Says its spokesman, Dick Fisher: “Easter is the one day you get a lot of people you don’t always see in church.”
