SMALL FACES: Rap producer Devante Swing is putting together the soundtrack album for “Dangerous Minds,” the summer movie starring Michelle Pfeiffer as an inner-city school teacher. Performers involved include Coolio, Immature, Rappin’ 4-Tay, Sista with Craig Mack and members of Jodeci, with former Prince associates Wendy and Lisa doing the film’s score. . . .

Kevin Gilbert of Tuesday Night Music Club, the band on Sheryl Crow’s hit album of the same name, had his version of “Kashmir” rejected for the recent Led Zeppelin tribute album. But KLOS morning personalities Mark & Brian have been playing it on the air, and the track is now going to be released as an independent single. Meanwhile, the Music Club, which also includes David + David’s David Baerwald and producer Bill Bottrell, is working on its debut album. . . .

Brian Wilson, the subject and guest of honor of a tribute concert last year at Santa Monica’s Morgan-Wixson Theatre, has joined a roster of local rockers performing at an Everly Brothers tribute concert at the same locale on April 29. As did the Wilson evening, this one will benefit the Sweet Relief organization. The Beach Boy is set to sing “All I Have to Do Is Dream” with former Three Dog Night singer Danny Hutton.
