THOUSAND OAKS : Workshops Focus on Future of Boulevard
Thousand Oaks residents are invited to drop in and offer their opinions on the future of Thousand Oaks Boulevard during a series of five community workshops scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
The workshops are part of an ongoing effort by some business owners and city officials to redesign the boulevard, the city’s oldest and busiest thoroughfare.
Under consideration are suggestions to widen sidewalks, slow traffic, plant trees and flowering bushes, and improve storefronts along the two-mile commercial district.
The sessions will be held at the Goebel Center, 110 S. Conejo School Road, and will run about an hour. On Friday, workshops begin at 8:15 and 9:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Saturday workshops are at 8:15 and 9:45 a.m.
