A knife-wielding robber held up a Thousand Oaks pizza parlor and doused the manager’s face with pepper spray before fleeing, authorities said Saturday.

According to police, the robber brandished a knife as manager Pete Nguyen was closing the Pizza Hut in the 2900 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard for the night at about 11:40 Friday. The robber forced Nguyen back into the restaurant and demanded the contents of the safe.

After Nguyen complied, the robber sprayed pepper spray in his face and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Nguyen was treated at Los Robles Regional Medical Center and released.
