Countywide : Fitness Challenge to Benefit Heart Assn.

Registration is underway for the second annual North County Fitness Challenge, set for Saturday at Cal State Fullerton.

Proceeds will support research, educational and community services programs of the American Heart Assn.

Event check-in will begin at 7 a.m. at the campus sports complex, 800 N. State College Blvd.

The 10-K run will start at 8 a.m., and the 5-K walk/run will get underway 15 minutes later.

The registration fee for the Fitness Challenge is $25, which includes a commemorative T-shirt.

Prizes will be awarded to participants who raise $75 or more for the Heart Assn.
