IT’S RAP

When is NRA poster boy Ice Cube going to receive some real media scrutiny regarding his lyrics and his opinions (“It’s a Wrap,” by Robert Hilburn, April 23)? Hilburn’s article, yet another cuddly media piece portraying this bigot as little more than a lovable rogue, read like a publicity agent’s press release.

The inflammatory “lyrics” of no-talent, uncivilized hate-mongers such as the Ices and their ilk shouldn’t be spoken of in an L.A Times whose front news section rips our hearts with the REAL-ness of what hate-mongering accomplished in Oklahoma City.
Hilburn actually uses such terms as “compelling artist,” “most talented rapper,” “charisma” and “rapping skills” (!) when rattling on about these preening, strutting, vile-tongued harbingers of hate.
