Earthquake Aid Center Closes, but Help Remains Available

Share

The Crenshaw Earthquake Service Center has closed, but officials at the governor’s Office of Emergency Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency say quake assistance is still available to those who need it.

After 16 months, the Crenshaw center at 2116 Arlington Ave. closed last week, as did the six other county centers.

Residents and business owners who still need aid or continued rental assistance may call the disaster phone line at 1 (800) 525-0321.

“OES and FEMA recognize that people affected by the earthquake will continue to need help,” said Paul Flores, OES chief deputy state coordinating officer.

“Those people who need help will be served. As long as there is a legitimate need for our services, we will be there to provide it.”
