CHATSWORTH : Medical Supply Firm Aids Bomb Victims

Share

A Chatsworth firm that manufactures disposable medical safety products has donated a large quantity of medical supplies to Oklahoma City area hospitals to help victims of the April 19 bombing, company officials said.

Some of the supplies include waste containers, which will be used in hospital operating rooms, officials of Devon Industries said.

“We stand ready to provide assistance to victims of this horrible tragedy and to the people of Oklahoma City in any way we possibly can,” said Dan Sandel, the company’s chairman.

Sandel said the people of Los Angeles are no strangers to tragedy, having suffered through the Northridge earthquake. The temblor, Sandel said, caused extensive damage to the company’s corporate headquarters in Chatsworth.
