IRVINE : 1 Mile of Culver Drive to Close for 8 Days
Culver Drive between Walnut Avenue and Irvine Center Drive will close tonight through May 14 for pipeline and railroad track construction.
Beginning at 10 p.m., city contractors will close the one-mile section of Culver Drive to allow Southern California Gas Co. to relocate a high-pressure gas line. During the eight-day closure, Southern Pacific Pipeline also will be relocating high-pressure oil lines and the Southern California Regional Rail Authority will be installing tracks on a new railroad bridge in the area.
