Award: City of Hope Doctor to Get Honorary Degree
The president of the City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute will receive an honorary degree of Doctor of Humanities from his alma mater.
Dr. Sanford Shapero, a Beverly Hills resident and graduate of the University of Dayton, will be presented with the degree at the university’s commencement exercises today.
He is also a member of the National Advisory Council on Aging of the National Institutes of Health.
