GARDEN GROVE : Home of the Year Honors to Be Awarded

Winners of the city’s Home of the Year awards will be recognized at 7 p.m. today at the Community Meeting Center. The awards honor local homeowners who have beautified and maintained their properties.

Honorees are selected by volunteer judges who view single-family, detached homes in 18 geographical areas of the city. Judges consider factors such as the overall condition of the homes and the use of plants and flowers.

This year’s winners are: Doug and JoAnne Jentzsch of Tunstall Street, Mike and Teresa Lee of Olive Street, Rita Slaton of Killarney Avenue, Bill Dinh and Ahn Ngyuen of Lucille Street, Bich Lan Nguyen of Enloe Avenue, Kakuchi and Beatrice Araki of Bowles Avenue, Jim and Deana Morris of Teal Drive, John and Dolores Soto of Henderson Avenue, Bernard Greenberg of Euclid Street, the Kazu Takushi family of Woodward Lane, Bill and Sue Catlin of Pine Street, Ralph and June Reeder of Birchwood Street, the Ed Hodges family of Homeway Drive, Calvin and Joyce Brack of Stone Haven Circle, Bok Won and Young Suk Kim of Kerry Street, Beverly Hogan of Falcon Lane, Phillip Chang of Lampson Avenue, and Becky Basgall and Joe Valdez of Ranchero Way.
