If employees at Ventura’s Doubletree Hotel have appeared laid back recently, it’s because they have bought into so-called casual days to aid victims of the Oklahoma City bombing.

On the past two Fridays, most staff members who donated $3 were allowed to dress casually. Managers had to pay $5 for the privilege.

John Walters, the hotel’s general manager, said donation cans have been placed throughout the facility so guests and others can also take part in the drive.
