Police have identified a 21-year-old Hollywood man who was arrested Tuesday on charges of shooting a man to death, stealing a car and leading police on a chase with the dead man strapped in the passenger seat.

Costello Blackwell was booked on suspicion of murder, said Los Angeles Police Detective Lloyd Parry. The victim, shot once in the head, was identified as 29-year-old Aaron Poper of Los Angeles.

The incident took place about 3:45 p.m. in the 6100 block of De Longpre Avenue, when Poper and the unidentified driver of a car allegedly picked up Blackwell to purchase cocaine from him, Parry said.
