Household International to Make Used-Car Loans: The major loan and financial services provider said Thursday that it will make used-car loans this year but that it does not expect to turn much of a profit from the business until 1997. “The used-car market is fast-growing and hot, fits well with our customer base and has good profitability dynamics,” said William Aldinger, chief executive and president.
