SMALL FACES: R&B; sex symbol R. Kelly is about 80% finished with his next album, which should be out in late fall. He has no plans to tour this year and probably won’t go on the road again until next summer. Kelly is taking time out from these sessions to produce and write several songs for an Isley Brothers album that’s coming in late summer. . . . Gloria Estefan, who put out a collection of others’ hits last year, is working on an album of original material, scheduled to arrive this fall. . . .

Dates are being assembled now for Vanessa Williams’ first U.S. tour--playing theaters--this fall. . . . Teddy Pendergrass is recording an album of his own oldies. The songs date back to the ‘70s, including his early solo days with Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. . . . Both Lenny Kravitz and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are in the studio recording albums that will be ready in mid-September. . . .

Devo, They Might Be Giants and English duo Shampoo have contributed new songs to the soundtrack for “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie,” along with tracks from the Power Rangers Orchestra featuring Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum and Mr. Big singer Eric Martin. The album is due June 6.
