IS THAT FUNNY? Morning drive deejays John Murphy and John Garabo (KZLA 93.9 FM) were sure Orange County’s bankruptcy problems and John Anderson’s hit song, “Money in the Bank,” were made for each other. So they play their new parody, “Orange County Has No Money in the Bank,” about any time they get a caller from here. . . . A sample: “ Late last night I saw a homeless dude, it was Mickey Mouse with a sign that said I’ll work for food.” . . . . Says Murphy: “Like any parody, some people find it funny and some people take it to heart.”

PEN AS SWORD: Not to say there’s anything positive about the county bankruptcy, but it’s providing interesting local learning material for UC Irvine’s Graduate School of Management. The school’s quarterly magazine, out this week, devotes plenty of space to it. . . . Included are stinging lines from the school’s dean, Dennis Aigner: “Orange County does have a firm and dynamic economic foundation. . . . What it lacks is a county government of equal stature.”

GIVE HIM VICTOR: The Orange County Philharmonic has a Father’s Day suggestion: Take him to see Victor Borge, the 86-year-old pianist who still falls off the piano bench mid-concerto. The Philharmonic presents a one-day-only Borge concert at the Orange County Performing Arts Center on June 18. . . . The comedian/pianist sold out when at Knott’s Berry Farm three years ago. How long has he been performing? Borge, from his own act: “I gave my first concert at eight--actually it was about five minutes past eight.”

NEXT CHAPTER: Save the Rams and the Rams Booster Club will sponsor a joint luncheon today at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel. No, they’re no longer trying to keep the Rams from St. Louis. . . . The meeting is to announce they’re turning themselves into a new NFL Booster Club--to spearhead efforts to bring another National Football League team to Orange County. Says spokesman Gary Lavoie: “We want the NFL to know fans here still will support a team.”
