HOLLYWOOD PARK : Top Shape Heads Field for Honeymoon Handicap
Top Shape, who won her North American debut at Hollywood Park last month, heads a field of six 3-year-old fillies entered in today’s $100,000-added Honeymoon Handicap.
Top Shape, a French-bred filly, rallied from eighth place to win the Grade III Senorita Breeders’ Cup Stakes by a neck over Artica in April. She will be ridden by Corey Nakatani, the meet’s leading rider who returns from a three-day suspension.
Top Shape has three victories and two seconds in 10 career starts, with earnings of $163,412.
Multiple stakes winner Artica will again challenge Top Shape, along with Auriette, who finished a close third to Top Shape in the Senorita.
