Medical Helicopter Pilot Blamed in Crash

WASHINGTON —
The pilot of a medical evacuation helicopter was off course when he flew the craft into a mountain in the fog near Bluefield, W. Va., last year, the National Transportation Safety Board concluded Friday.
The pilot, co-pilot and two flight nurses died in the accident April 22, 1994, when the Bell 412 crashed while en route to pick up a patient at Mercer County Airport.
