WESTMINSTER : Toddler Who Fell Into Pool on Thursday Dies
A 14-month-old girl who fell into a back-yard swimming pool five days ago died Tuesday after being in a coma, fire authorities said.
Vivian Nguyen was playing near her father inside their house in the 14400 block of Titus Street about 6 p.m. Thursday, Fire Capt. Craig Campbell said. A few moments later, the father, who was washing dishes, noticed the child was gone, Campbell said.
“He went outside and found her at the bottom of the pool.”
The girl was taken to Huntington Beach Medical Center and transferred to Children’s Hospital of Orange County later that evening. She remained in critical condition until she died, authorities said.
