A man who faked having a handgun robbed a Ventura pizza restaurant late Monday night and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
The suspect entered the Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, 444 E. Santa Clara St., about 10:20 p.m., said Ventura Police Sgt. Randy Janes.
After saying he was picking up an order, the man simulated having a handgun by sticking out his right hand in his jacket pocket, Janes said.
The cashier complied with the request and the man fled west on Santa Clara Street, Janes said. The cashier was not injured.
The suspect is described as 29 to 30 years old, 5-feet-10-inches tall and 180 pounds. He has shoulder-length brown hair and was wearing round sunglasses, a black leather jacket, a tan-buttoned shirt and blue jeans.
