RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA : 5 Youths Arrested on Burglary Charges
Five teen-agers suspected of a burglary spree in the Villa La Paz apartment complex have been arrested, Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials said Friday.
Taken into custody in connection with the burglaries were three male and two female juveniles, Lt. Hector Rivera said.
A surveillance team sent to the apartment complex made the arrests Thursday, he said, after officers spotted the three males emerging from an apartment carrying canvas bags.
About an hour later, Rivera said, officers followed the juveniles to a residence where they discovered items that had been reported stolen from the apartment, as well as a cache of goods that had been reported stolen by other residents of Villa La Paz during the past few weeks.
