Steven Pfiel Murder Trial Is Delayed
Associated Press
CRETE, Ill. —
The murder trial of Steven Pfiel has been delayed until June 21 while prosecutors and defense attorneys try to work out a plea bargain.
Pfiel, 18, is accused of killing Hillary Norskog, 13, and, while out on bond, of killing his older brother, Roger, and of raping a female relative.
He was to have gone to trial in Hillary’s death last Tuesday, nearly two years after her body was found in a field of weeds near Palos Park, Ill. Prosecutors and defense attorneys say they are working on plea agreements.
