GARDEN GROVE : District Announces Commencement Dates

Several thousand high school and intermediate students will join in commencement ceremonies on June 15, 19 and 20 throughout the Garden Grove Unified School District, a spokesman said.

On June 19, the ceremonies will take place at 3 p.m. for La Quinta High School at Bolsa Grande Stadium; 6 p.m. for Los Amigos High School at Garden Grove High stadium; 6 p.m. for Pacifica High at Bolsa Grande High stadium; 5 p.m. at Rancho Alamitos High, and 3 p.m. for Santiago High School at Garden Grove High stadium.

On June 20, ceremonies will be held at 5 p.m. for Bolsa Grande High School at the campus stadium; 4:30 p.m. for Garden Grove High School at the campus stadium, and 7 p.m. for Louis Lake High School on campus.

All intermediate school ceremonies will also be held June 20. They will take place at 2 p.m. for Alamitos Intermediate at Rancho Alamitos High; 2 p.m. for Hilton D. Bell Intermediate at Pacifica High; 1:45 p.m. for Dr. Leroy L. Doig Intermediate at Santiago High; 1:30 p.m. for Stephen R. Fitz Intermediate at Los Amigos High; 1:30 p.m. for James Irvine Intermediate at Don Walsh Auditorium at Garden Grove High; 1:30 p.m. for Donald S. Jordan Intermediate at Bolsa Grande High School; 11 a.m. for McGarvin Intermediate on campus; 11:15 a.m. for Dr. Walter C. Ralston Intermediate at Don Walsh Auditorium, and 9 a.m. for Walton Intermediate at Don Walsh Auditorium.

Adult education ceremonies will be held June 15 at 7 p.m. at the Chapman-Hettinga Education Center, spokesman Alan Trudell said.

Also, special events for disabled students from Mark Twain Special School and Jordan Secondary Learning Center are planned. On June 16 at 10 a.m., four students will be honored at a completion ceremony at Mark Twain. On June 19 at 11 a.m., 11 students will join a commencement ceremony at Jordan SLC, Trudell said.
